The opportunity
We are looking for a Global Segment Marketing Lead to strengthen our market- and customer-driven approach to growth within the Global Marketing team of the Transformers Business Unit.
In this role, you will connect market and industry dynamics with our portfolio and capabilities, working closely with industry leaders and Product Management to understand customer applications, evolving needs, buying priorities, and where our solutions can create differentiated value.
You will lead the development of segment- and application-specific value propositions and marketing strategies, translating market insights into clear value-selling points, differentiated positioning, and compelling marketing assets.
The role requires a strong customer- and market-oriented mindset and the ability to move from understanding markets and customer needs to defining where and how we compete, differentiate, and deliver value.
How you will make an impact
- Partner with industry leaders and market experts to build a deep understanding of customer applications, industry ecosystems, emerging trends, and the role our portfolio plays within them.
- Lead the development of customer value propositions for key segments and applications, translating portfolio capabilities into differentiated customer outcomes and business value.
- Build a structured understanding of customer needs, pain points, buying criteria, decision-makers, and buying journeys, ensuring marketing priorities are anchored in real market demand.
- Translate segment strategies into clear marketing frameworks, defining target customers, positioning, key messages, value-selling points, and thought-leadership priorities.
- Work closely with the Communications team to ensure a consistent messaging framework, while adapting narratives and content to different audiences and purposes, from customer-facing communications to thought leadership.
- Collaborate with Product Management to connect market needs and customer value with portfolio positioning, product launches, and growth initiatives.
- Equip Sales and customer-facing teams with compelling customer value narratives and segment-specific marketing tools that enable stronger, value-based customer conversations.
- Define meaningful KPIs to measure the effectiveness of segment marketing strategies and continuously refine priorities based on market feedback and business impact.
Your background
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in B2B marketing, strategic marketing, segment marketing, business development, or commercial strategy, ideally within an industrial, energy, infrastructure, or technology environment.
- Strong market and commercial orientation, with the ability to understand complex industries, customer applications, value chains, and business models.
- Demonstrated ability to develop market segmentation, customer insights, value propositions, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking, combined with the ability to turn strategy into actionable priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a global, cross-functional environment, navigating multiple segments and stakeholders with different levels of maturity and market dynamics.
- Excellent English knowledge
