Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time - Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, support access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide professional customer service. Using computer or tablet-based tools, you will help maintain an orderly environment while communicating clearly with tenants, guests, and site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients at a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery logs.
• Monitor building access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; promptly report unusual activity, access concerns, and equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with property management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, incidents, and site-specific needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
