Manager, Retail Operations - HOKA

This role will be responsible for managing Hoka DTC store operations for multiple stores within China. He or She is expected to seek out industry best practices and recommend change that will streamline productivity in the areas of store cash/assets management, labor efficiency and Inventory management, as well as data analysis for store initiatives. Further he/she will drive the customer experience by ensuring that the Brand identity as expressed through brick and mortar, and SIS locations,  is consistent with the Brand domestically, understanding cultural differences that optimize performance in the long- term.

25% Overall Management
•    Positively communicate and demonstrate the company's Core Values by developing trust and respect among peers and staff, building strong teams and partnerships and support DTC head to drive sales, and other financial targets.
•    Coach, train and develop store management on operational functions and to deliver operational excellence.
•    Working with corporate partners, develop business processes & procedures to effectively support the regions operations and implement Company’s Standard Operating Procedures where indicated.
•    Ensure proper channels of communication exist between the regional retail team and the corporate partners. (e.g weekly communication letter to stores)
•    Prepare reporting weekly and monthly reports for review by the Retail Management team. Ensures adherence to budgets and performance standards related to sales, margin and operating expense by facilitating regular reviews and identifying areas for improvement.  
•    Budget Management: to well plan the operation budget at the year beginning and doing monthly tracking/reporting to optimize the budget.

25% Policy and Procedure
•    Work with Global Retail Operations to establish global Policy and Procedure practices. Ensure understanding and ownership at the store level. 
•    Stay informed of current retailing best practices in country. Communicate potential changes with risk/benefits of implementation.  
•    Responsible for keeping most current P&P version in stores and available to all store employees.
•    Will help create and maintain store operational standards to ensure customer and employee experience is meeting brand expectations.
•    In charge of the regular ops communication letters to ensure the accuracy and user friendly reading content.
•    To implement and finetune the P&P for store cash management and reduce risk of cash or assets loss while still explore new way of doing business, e.g pre-sale, family sale, etc.

15% Store Supplies Program
•    Work with Global Retail Operations team to create and maintain a cost effective, efficient, and cohesive store supply program for China. 
•    Works with stores to maintain supply budget, including postage fee management and stay in stock and communicates any needed changes to program with recommended solutions.

15% Store inventory Management
•    Fully leverage global RFID system to implement the inventory management in store. Make sure shrinkage in store is less than 1% after implementing RFID
•    Work with global team on further function development on RFID related to inventory transfer in and out and on the road, etc.
•    Create and monitoring overall left-over inventory (broken size) etc. in the store to optimize the inventory usage by working with allocation team together.

20% Training

•    Cooperate with training team on implement the seasonal training, as well as selling skill training based on business requirement.
•    Fully leverage company e-learning platform to support and monitor store staffs to learn about brand, product, VM, etc.

Store Systems
•    Works with local IT team to maintain current store systems through communication, requirements building and testing and roll out. 
•    Communicates and trains store teams on new enhancements and/ or changes to the system.
•    Expected to help develop country level requirements, testing and deployment to all stores.

New Store Openings
•    Manages construction timelines for new stores from lease acquisition to store opening. 
•    Will help ensure store opens on time and maintains open line of communication with all parties throughout the construction phase.
