M47 - Full Stack Engineer

Overview

You will play a key role in maintaining high system availability while contributing to legacy modernization, digital transformation, and platform enhancements. This role involves working on complex enterprise applications, improving system performance and security, supporting production operations, and adopting modern engineering and AI-assisted development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain software for STARS and ELS across both legacy and modernized applications.
• Design, implement, and support business functions related to land title registration, digital lodgement, payment processing, document management, reporting, and search.
• Analyze business requirements and implement system enhancements while ensuring application stability and data integrity.
• Support modernization initiatives including application upgrades, code refactoring, API development, technology refresh, and architecture improvements.
• Contribute to digital transformation by improving automation, system usability, workflow efficiency, and integration with new digital services.
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity in areas such as code analysis, documentation, testing, and development while validating all outputs for quality and security.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot defects, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Apply engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, secure coding, observability, and DevSecOps principles.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, operations teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, vendors, and business users to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including system design, integration specifications, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise application development, or application maintenance.
• Strong programming experience in one or more of the following: Java / JSP / JavaScript / SQL, PL or SQL / Shell scripting
• Experience working with enterprise or legacy applications, including production support and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of enterprise application architecture, including APIs, application servers, databases, authentication, batch processing, and system integration.
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with legacy system modernization, application migration, or technology refresh initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as: Oracle, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS GCC or similar cloud platforms
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, observability, performance monitoring, and platform resilience.
• Experience working in highly regulated, mission-critical, or public sector environments.
• Experience integrating with external systems, agencies, or business partners.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools.
• Knowledge of land registry, legal, document management, or transaction processing systems is an advantage.
