Overview
THE ROLE:The Production Artist will create, edit and modify art files for product labels, personal care packaging, literature items, web pages, advertising banners, printed media, using Adobe Creative Suite programs.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- Prepare artwork packages for output to various vendors.- Proofread and check art proofs for accuracy of typesetting and proper positioning of graphic elements.- Responsible for major or minor copy, layout and image changes to existing art files.- Prepare, organize and set-up print ready artwork for seasonal catalogs, publications and print collateral.- Assist in the color correction, retouching and manipulation digital imagery.- Build, maintain and release digital files for print or online usage.- Assist in the creation of graphic assets as needed in coordination with the graphic designers. This includes sketches, comps, layouts, large format banners and web images.- Maintain archiving of files.- Communicate all missing items to team members while handling multiple jobs at one time.- Work closely with the marketing, sales, communication and art departments to implement changes in a timely manner.- Understand and strictly adhere to the quality standards and procedures established by Herbalife’s style guides and Branding.
Job Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision- Strong communication skills provide project status updates to Management- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Acrobat and all MS Office applications- Abide by the existing production process and ensure the quality control standards are met- Understand and follow Herbalife naming conventions, server structure and systems- Ability to function as an effective team member- Ability to gain solid knowledge of Herbalife’s brand/strategy- Extreme attention to detail.
English/Spanish bilingual 90%
Experience:
- 4 years experience in the graphic design field- 3 years experience of pre-press work- 2 years experience in photo retouching- Experience working on web-related and/or interactive design projects and preparing large format artwork
Education
Bachelor degree in Design
