The Lourie Center School seeks to hire an experienced Individual Education Plan Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
The Lourie Center for Children's Social & Emotional Wellness is a private, non-profit agency with a mission to improve the social and emotional health of young children and their families through prevention, early intervention, education, research and training. The Lourie Center has four core programs serving children birth through age 12 and their families: Head Start, The Lourie Center School, The Therapeutic Nursery Program and Parent-Child Clinical Services.
As a Individual Education Plan Coordinator you will:
• Supervision and coordination of the IEP process for all Ridge School students
• Develops IEP transition goals for all special education students over the age of fourteen.
• Provides training for school staff in the planning and implementation of IEPs
• Provides classroom support and advisement to teachers to ensure proper implementation of students’ IEP
• Reviews all quarterly IEP updates for accuracy and compliance and provides oversite for the dissemination of quarterly updates to all relevant stakeholders
• Creates and updates student transcripts for all students
• Assists the Director of Education in the development of the master class schedule
Qualifications include:
• Knowledge and understanding of local school system curriculum & graduation requirements
• Knowledge and understanding federal and state testing and assessment requirements
• Experience and expertise in using the online IEP systems for all local school systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail with regard to all required documentation relevant to the IEP process; ability to meet all time-lines and deadlines regarding the IEP process
• Ability to function effectively as a liaison with parents, guardians, and all local school system representatives including MSDE and OSSE
• Bachelor degree required,
• Masters degree preferred in special education, education, or school administration
• 3-5 years minimum experience
• MSDE certification required or must be eligible for MSDE certification

Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week
Typical Daily Schedule: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM Monday through Friday

Holiday Requirements: Follow school holiday schedule

Pay Range:
$63,510.88 - $92,090.78If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
