As an IAM Consultant within BDO’s Risk Advisory practice, you’ll help clients design, implement and optimize Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks that protect critical assets, manage risks and support regulatory compliance. What will you be doing?
In this role, you’ll contribute to delivering IAM and cybersecurity projects for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Design IAM operating models: Define IAM operating models, governance structures, roles and responsibilities that align with organizational objectives and risk appetite..
- Conduct IAM maturity assessments: Lead IAM maturity assessments and benchmark organizations against industry good practices.
- Develop IAM roadmaps: Translate assessment findings into pragmatic IAM strategies, business cases and multi-year transformation roadmaps.
- Implement IAM solutions: Assist clients in the deployment, configuration and optimization of IAM technologies, including identity lifecycle management, access governance and privileged access management.
- Support regulatory compliance: Help clients comply with cybersecurity, risk management and data protection requirements through effective identity governance and access controls.
- Design secure processes: Contribute to the design of user provisioning, role management, recertification and access review processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with IT, security, risk and business teams to align IAM initiatives with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver impactful recommendations: Translate technical findings into actionable insights and pragmatic recommendations for management and key stakeholders.
What do you bring to the table?
We’re looking for a consultant who combines technical IAM expertise with strong communication skills and a client-centric mindset. Here’s what you’ll need:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Cybersecurity, IT Risk, Security Architecture or a related field.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with one or more IAM domains such as Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Access Management.
- Familiarity with leading IAM solutions such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), CyberArk, One Identity, Okta or similar platforms is considered a strong asset.
- Lead workstreams, coach junior consultants and manage client stakeholders throughout IAM transformation engagements.
- Ability to analyse complex environments, identify risks and develop practical solutions tailored to client needs.
- Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and explain complex concepts in a clear manner.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is required. Knowledge of French is considered a strong asset.
