Description
We are seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide end-user technical support and maintain desktop, laptop, software, and peripheral systems. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting technology solutions to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for desktop and laptop hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, printers, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technical issues, documenting resolutions and procedures.
- Utilize desktop management tools to deploy patches, perform audits, and maintain device performance.
- Perform desktop imaging and deployment activities.
- Coordinate with telecommunications and vendor support teams to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Maintain knowledge of current technologies, systems, and industry trends.
- Assist with hardware repairs, warranty claims, and equipment replacement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting personal computers and providing end-user technical support.
- Experience installing and maintaining operating systems and desktop software.
- Experience with desktop management tools, patch deployment, and system imaging.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and workstation optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
This position is required to work on– site in Brenham, TX Monday – Friday.
