Senior Highway Group Manager — Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
STV is looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Senior Highway Group Manager to help lead and grow our highway practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a proven transportation professional who wants to guide multi-disciplinary teams, strengthen key client relationships, and play a visible role in winning and delivering major highway design and alternate delivery projects across Texas.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and grow multi-disciplinary highway design teams while shaping the direction of STV’s Texas Transportation practice.
- Serve as a trusted client partner to TxDOT, regional agencies, municipalities, teaming partners, and other key stakeholders, strengthening relationships that support long-term growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop pursuit strategies, and position STV for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build opportunities across the Texas market.
- Partner with marketing, technical teams, and market leaders to develop compelling proposals, presentations, interview strategies, and client-facing pursuit materials.
- Represent STV in client meetings, pursuit interviews, industry events, and professional organizations to elevate our brand and expand our regional network.
- Prepare fee proposals, support negotiations, and review contract requirements in coordination with internal leadership.
- Provide senior-level oversight on project delivery, helping teams meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
- Create leadership impact by setting team priorities, removing roadblocks, coaching project managers, and helping technical staff grow into larger client-facing and delivery roles.
- Support recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of top technical talent to build a strong, collaborative, and high-performing team.
In this role, your leadership impact will be visible in the people you develop, the client relationships you strengthen, the pursuits you help win, and the quality of the projects your teams deliver for communities across Texas.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer license in Texas, or the ability to obtain one.
- Established relationships and experience working with TxDOT and other regional transportation agencies.
- 15+ years of relevant highway design, transportation infrastructure, and project management experience.
- Experience leading large-scale highway projects; alternate delivery experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, client service, and team-building skills.
- Local municipal experience and active involvement in professional organizations are a plus.

Compensation Range:
