Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN), you will help individuals and families receive holistic, effective, and appropriate care so they can experience safe and confidential care from admission to discharge.
Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You will be expected to collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

- Collects patient data based on diagnosis, age and/or developmental age. Analyzes data collected.
- Plans and prioritizes individualized care based on the assessment, utilizing nursing diagnosis, including teaching and discharge needs of the patient and family, and sets outcome goals in coordination with other disciplines.
- Ensures that the patient/family participates in the plan of care as able, and that plan of care addresses age-specific and cultural needs.
- Implements appropriate standards based on assessment.
- Prioritizes and organizes care within the allotted time frames.
- Coordinates discharge steps or ensures appropriate referral to address timely, appropriate discharge needs.
Job Requirements
Required
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
- Basic Life Support - CPR from the American Heart Association
Preferred
- Acute care experience
