Job Description

To proactively manage and optimise a defined portfolio of Wealth Clients by identifying and addressing their financial needs through tailored solutions. The role focuses on deepening client relationships, ensuring profitability, and maintaining long-term client retention. This is achieved through consistent engagement, effective use of financial tools and insights, and collaboration with internal specialists to deliver a seamless and value-adding client experience.

•  Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients (optimizing revenue opportunities) or by acquiring new clients and increase potential of existing portfolio.
• Analyse client's current product offerings and solutions with the aim of ensuring Wealth is the client's primary banking institution. In addition, identifying transactional and lending requirements.
• Understand and market all Transactional Banking products within the Wealth offering, Understand and market all Lending solutions within the Wealth offering, Overdrafts, Mortgage (Single Homeloan), Mortgage (Multiple assets/ multiple properties), Commercial Property Finance, and Share Based Lending
• Successfully implement, track and report on Client Campaigns and initiatives.
• Track, control and influence sales activities with the specific aim of achieving previously determined sales targets.
• Maximize cross sell opportunities through the identification of specialist advisory requirements. E.g. Wealth Management, Fiduciary, Portfolio Management.
• Manage the growth of active customer Account Base to increase Client base and revenue.
• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds client expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
• Manage and grow portfolio through proactive client contact. Ensure client retention and satisfaction levels (measured via the SIMS).
• Provide and track accurate and reliable sales statistics via Siebel.
• Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Commerce, Hons. in Investment Management, Finance or Economics.

• Preferred Qualification: Certified Financial Planner.

• Experience 3 - 5 years’ experience in Financial Services, Financial Planning, Wealth Management, and client facing environment.

• Additional Knowledge – Understanding of money management principles.
• Sound working knowledge of Banking and Financial Services.
• Knowledge of Basic Principles of Hospitality and Service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to regulate delivery in response to the needs of the target audience.
• Ability to show empathy and genuine interest in people.
• Proven track record in servicing a portfolio of clients and in acquisition of new relations.
• Knowledge of global financial markets and current affairs.
• Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions.
• Project management skills and able to plan and organize work independently.
• Sound knowledge of Bank’s risk and other mandates to ensure exercising good commercial judgement while representing the Bank’s and the shareholders’ interests always.
