Job description

1) Develop and implement a Compliance and Audit Tracking Framework to proactively identify, monitor, and track compliance and audit-related risk issues, ensuring timely and accurate visibility within the CRO Office. Establish clear escalation protocols to ensure material issues are promptly communicated to the CRO and relevant Heads of Department (HODs). Continuously review and enhance the framework to maintain its effectiveness, comprehensiveness, and alignment with evolving regulatory, audit, and business requirements.

2) Lead and represent the Division on compliance, operational risk, and audit-related matters, ensuring effective risk governance, regulatory compliance, and timely resolution of issues. Act as a key liaison between the Division, CRO Office, regulators, auditors, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen risk oversight and promote a proactive risk management culture.

• Actively engage with stakeholders across the Division to perform fact-finding, assess issues highlighted through audits, compliance reviews, operational risk assessments, and regulatory examinations, and identify root causes and control gaps.

• Provide value-added risk insights, practical recommendations, and actionable solutions to support stakeholders in development of their governance, controls, and regulatory compliance.

• Maintain close oversight of identified issues, ensuring timely execution of remediation actions, effective resolution of findings, and sustainable closure of action plans.

• Monitor and assess potential compliance breaches, control weaknesses, and emerging risk issues, ensuring timely escalation to the CRO Office and CRO where appropriate.

• Coordinate responses to regulatory information requests, surveys, and examinations, ensuring submissions are complete, accurate, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

• Facilitate and coordinate regulatory engagements and meetings, including consolidation of information, preparation of presentation materials, and management of follow-up actions.

• Track and monitor key risk, audit, and compliance issues at the Division level, providing management with clear visibility and early warning of potential delays, bottlenecks, or risks impacting issue closure.

• Prepare periodic management updates and risk reports to provide oversight and risk governance at division level

3) To participate in division level projects to enhance effectiveness of CRO Office

4) To support other administrative functions at the division level;

• To support, coordinate and oversee Division level events (Festive, CSR, Townhall, EES), to ensure the events is aligned with the purpose, objective and values of Risk Management and OCBC.

Skill requirement

• At least 5-10 years of working experience in banking industry, preferably in the Compliance field

• Possess a recognized Degree in Business Studies or other related disciplines  

• Familiar with Microsoft Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

•   Good and clear communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills, and strong team player
