Position Summary:
We are a leading Disaster Recovery Emergency Management Consulting firm, and we are growing our team of field communications professionals who will work as Field Liaison Coordinators for anticipated episodic opportunities to provide critical support to communities affected by disaster events. The communications specialists we are seeking are knowledgeable and experienced in logistics, inventory management, distribution networks, technical support, and Starlink satellite communication terminal operations. We provide a wide array of technical services to clients working directly with affected individuals and communities operating in a variety of areas including Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), field operations, disaster recovery centers, and technology support roles, to name a few. The Field Liaison Coordinators working as a Starlink team, implements response strategies, coordinates with stakeholders, and ensures services are provided as directed to meet the client’s needs. This is episodic work where you will deploy to a variety of locations throughout Florida for potentially extended periods of time to work closely in the field supporting operations resulting from disaster events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Deploy to disaster-affected areas to provide on-the-ground logistics and technical support.
- Assist in setting up, managing, coordinating, and supporting operational needs of the response effort as directed.
- Follow and enforce all guidelines, policies, and procedures associated with the assignment.
- Complete inventory of Starlink systems staged in warehouse locations throughout Florida.
- Distribute Starlink systems to counties, municipalities, and agencies throughout the state in areas impacted by disaster or requiring additional communications capability.
- Setup, operate, troubleshoot, and provide assistance to survivors to provide Wi-Fi hotspots if requested by the client.
- Provide support and assistance to EOCs requiring additional communications and technical support related to Response areas of responsibilities.
- Maintain accurate records of activities including incident logs, inventories, and operational updates.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal review and external reporting to stakeholders as directed.
- Participate in and assist with training programs to ensure a knowledgeable team, meeting all project requirements.
- Complete required training as directed.
- Follow and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the mission.
Skills and Competencies:
- Must have computer skills, including using Microsoft Office Suite applications with the ability to quickly learn new computer software, programs, or tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and take initiative in leadership roles as needed.
- Ability to assess situations and take appropriate action in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain a personal and professional high state of readiness and professional training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful situations.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Upon notification of activation, the ability to rapidly deploy to assigned client locations.
- Mobility required to travel to disaster sites and affected communities working on-site.
- Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and challenging environments.
- Ability to work up to twelve-hour shifts and maintaining flexibility for longer shifts as needed.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. throughout the day to transport Starlink systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Experience in Starlink satellite communications systems and Wi-Fi networks, preferred.
- Experience with inventory management.
- IT Technical support and troubleshooting, preferred.
- Experience with logistics and distribution networks to provide delivery and retrieval of Starlink units.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas preferred:
- Starlink/satellite communications networks
- Field Liaisons/Coordinators/Technicians
- Logistics Specialists
- Ground Support Specialists/Coordinators
- Technology Support Specialists
- IT Help Desk
