Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking and highly motivated Operations Manager to lead a large global operations organization across Customer Onboarding/ Customer Maintenance (Back Office functions).

This is a critical leadership role responsible for delivering operational excellence while helping shape the future of our Operations organization. The successful candidate will drive business performance, lead a team of experienced managers and team leaders, and play a key role in defining and executing our transformation agenda through automation, digitalization and process improvement initiatives.

This position requires a leader who can successfully balance strategic thinking with strong execution, inspire teams, influence stakeholders, and consistently deliver measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Global Operations

  • Lead a large global operations organization across Customer Onboarding, Customer Maintenance and Back Office functions.
  • Ensure delivery of key operational metrics, including productivity, quality, customer experience, service levels and operational risk controls.
  • Maintain strong focus on operational performance, queue management and achievement of business objectives.
  • Drive accountability and execution across all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure operational stability while continuously improving efficiency and effectiveness.

Shape the Future of Operations

  • Co-create and execute the strategic vision for the function.
  • Partner with Product, Technology and Business teams to drive process transformation,
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear action plans and measurable outcomes.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Build strong relationships across Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance and other business functions.
  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor for senior stakeholders.
  • Influence decision-making and gain alignment across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Represent Operations in strategic initiatives and governance forums.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop experienced managers and senior team leaders.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on engagement, accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning and leadership capability building.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Ensure strong employee engagement and support teams in achieving their full potential.

Continuous Improvement & Delivery

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive solutions from idea through implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, eliminate waste and improve customer and employee experience.
  • Take ownership of strategic initiatives and ensure timely execution.
  • Use data and insights to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Deliver sustainable results while balancing customer, employee and business needs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, Polish language would be an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading large operational teams.
  • Proven experience managing managers and/or senior team leaders.
  • Strong track record of delivering operational results in complex global environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale process transformation, automation and digitalization initiatives.
  • Experience managing change and driving adoption across multiple teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with Product, Technology and Business partners.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Financial services, payments or regulated industry experience would be an advantage.

Location expectations  
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
