What you will do:
As a Service and Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues on IREF-related products, testing systems for proper function, and managing service tickets for billing purposes for medium account(s)/ client(s) with moderate complexity system. It includes providing leadership to ensure 100% uptime and reliability of the Remote Operations Center’s infrastructure, working closely with management to meet operational requirements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company policies.
How you will do it:
Execute commissioning of new equipment / system, including installation verification, pre-commissioning, start up and commissioning, performance testing, optimization of Industrial refrigeration system
Experience on handling all type of compressor/chiller, ie: scroll, screw, reciprocating, centrifugal, Multi-stage centrifugal & absorption.
Carry out comprehensive plant audit for Industrial refrigeration systems and provide detailed report on plant condition, observations and recommendations
To provide site service & maintenance including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and upgrades works, major equipment overhauls and replacement
Ensure safe and reliable handling of ammonia, CO₂, hydrocarbon gases and other industrial refrigerant.
To produce commissioning reports, technical documentation, and training materials.
To conduct training to customer’s operation and maintenance team, in functional concept and practical works.
Travel within South East Asia with on shore and off shore as required by the business in order to service the customer base.
Carry our service work to the highest possible standard in line with JCI policy & procedures and industry recognised best practices.
Ensure service/commissioning work is completed efficiently with minimum call back and warranty expense.
Ensure service reports are completed in good standard and submitted on time.
Actively identify and promote potential opportunities on services, parts and products to customers.
Supervise subcontractors working on behalf of JCI
Ensure the continued and sustainable growth of our maintenance base through customer relationship building with new and existing customers
Ensure the highest standard of safety are maintained at any job site at all time including but not limited to JCI staff.
Perform any other duties from time to time, whether ad-hoc or otherwise, as assigned by your superior or management
Ability to work in harsh, chemical laden environment under the sun.
Ability to work on standby with 24 hours call out situation.
Ability to be on overseas assignment for more than 1 month.
Lead the communication with factory technical support team on issue raised during commissioning and warranty period, as well as liaise with local engineering/project team.
Strong communication skill and technical knowledge to explain root cause to customer and ability to handle customer with strong technical knowledge. To manage the situation in stress environment to complete the service related work within the given timeline.
What we look for:
University degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum 3 years in HVAC&R industry or relevant professional experience preferred.
Valid driving license preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and skills gained through academic qualifications and/or practical work experience.
Ability to apply industry knowledge and expertise in a professional environment.
