JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, Field Sales Strategic Deployment will partner with commercial leadership to optimize field sales deployment through advanced analytics, territory design, account alignment, and go-to-market execution. Develops data-driven recommendations that improve customer coverage, sales force effectiveness, and resource allocation across the business. Leverages internal and external market intelligence, sales performance data, customer analytics, and deployment methodologies to identify opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and implement field structure solutions that support business growth and evolving commercial priorities. Serves as a highly autonomous individual contributor supporting the Manager, Strategic Deployment by leading analytical workstreams, deployment modeling, health checks, specialization assessments, governance documentation, and executive-ready communications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads territory design, account alignment, and coverage optimization analyses to improve customer reach, workload balance, and market opportunity realization across the field sales organization.
- Develops and maintains territory indexing methodologies utilizing customer opportunity, sales performance, market intelligence, account potential, and workload metrics to support deployment decisions.
- Partners with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Compensation, Systems, and Commercial Excellence teams to translate business priorities into deployment recommendations and actionable field structures.
- Conducts deployment modeling, scenario planning, and capacity analyses to evaluate alternative organizational structures, resource allocations, specialization models, and go-to-market approaches.
- Supports annual deployment health checks by assessing territory balance, opportunity coverage, attainment distributions, customer access, deployment workload, and organizational effectiveness metrics.
- Supports commercialization efforts and new go-to-market models by developing deployment recommendations, field structures, account assignments, exception response recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Performs advanced analytics to identify specialization opportunities, deployment risks, performance gaps, market access constraints, and areas for organizational optimization.
- Creates executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and business reviews that communicate deployment insights, recommendations, methodologies, trade-offs, and expected business impact.
- Maintains deployment governance standards, documentation, data integrity controls, and alignment methodologies across organizational changes and business initiatives.
- Partners with compensation, systems, and commercial operations teams to ensure deployment structures are accurately implemented within supporting platforms, compensation systems, CRM tools, and downstream processes.
- Develops and maintains reporting, dashboards, analytical tools, and repeatable processes utilizing Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and other commercial analytics platforms to monitor deployment effectiveness and support decision making.
- Supports field deployment requests and organizational change initiatives by providing recommendations, impact assessments, implementation support, and leadership-ready decision materials.
- Identifies opportunities to improve deployment methodologies, analytical processes, and operational efficiencies through automation, standardization, process optimization, and enhanced analytics.
- Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives through daily decision making, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and business partnership.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of commercial operations, sales analytics, field deployment, sales force effectiveness, compensation design, business analytics, or related experience is required.
- Experience supporting territory design, account alignment, field deployment, compensation design, sales force optimization, or go-to-market execution initiatives is preferred.
- Experience conducting advanced business analyses and developing data-driven recommendations for senior leadership is required.
- Experience working with large, complex sales organizations and multi-level sales hierarchies is preferred.
- Experience interacting with or directly supporting a Field Sales organization is required.
- Medical Technology, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Life Sciences industry experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, collaboration, and project management capabilities are required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders through clear, concise, data-driven recommendations are required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS & AFFILIATIONS
- Experience with Power BI, CRM platforms, territory management systems, data visualization tools, and large data sets is preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, process automation, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
- This role may be based in Cincinnati, OH, Raritan, NJ, or other Johnson & Johnson locations and may require up to 15% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$79,000.00 - $127,650.00Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
