Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access Control in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access points, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, business areas, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
