## The team you will be a part of
The Finance General team manages the planning and direction of finance process and activities. Activities include the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs.
## This role in summary
The Senior Finance Manager serves as the primary financial lead for the KitchenAid Small Appliances business across the United States and Canada. This role is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the business, encompassing full P&L accountability and Free Cash Flow (FCF) optimization. By providing strategic guidance on product innovation, commercial tactics, capital distribution, and cost management, the Senior Manager ensures the North America Region Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) achieves long-term growth and sustainable profitability.
Team Structure
Direct leadership and professional development of a 4 people finance organization:
- 1 Finance Manager
- 3 Senior Analysts (including one Senior Analyst with 100% dedicated oversight of the Canada business unit)
This role is fully onsite, located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates.
## Your responsibilities will include
P&L Management & Business Partnership
- Full P&L Accountability: Oversee every financial metric from Gross Sales to EBIT within the North American SDA portfolio. Focus on achieving the "double the business" objective and enhancing margins by conducting detailed evaluations of pricing & mix strategies, product assortment, trade investment efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives. Assume comprehensive cost ownership across all P&L lines. This includes providing managerial oversight & leadership for all cost categories and driving operational execution for F&W, IBO, SG&A, and Other Cost of Sales (OCOS).
- Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development of the Profit Plan and monthly rolling forecasts. Ensure financial targets are aligned with category long-term strategic goals.
- Business Partner: Serve as the primary finance partner to the NAR General Manager and her/his direct leadership team on running the business, providing data-backed modeling to assess the ROI of promotions, managing categories, and supporting expansion in line with KitchenAid's long-term objectives (including New Product Introduction business cases work).
Free Cash Flow (FCF) & Balance Sheet
- FCF Management: Responsibility for the end-to-end Free Cash Flow process, including the monthly forecast, actual results closure, and variance analysis.
- CapEx & Depreciation: Manage the capital investment budget for your region. Ensure timely asset activation, and accurately forecast depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Working Capital Optimization: Drive strategies to improve Net Working Capital by monitoring Inventory health, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable terms.
- Other Operating Accounts: Manage and reconcile other operating cash flow lines, including provisions, accruals, and deferred liabilities to ensure accurate forecasting.
Closure, Governance & Compliance
- Financial Closure: Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing & accounting processes & requirements for SDA. Ensure all P&L and Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled in accordance with Whirlpool Policies & Best in class performance.
- Internal Controls: Maintain a robust control environment. Ensure total compliance with SOX requirements and internal audit standards across both US and Canadian legal entities.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Direct responsibility for the hiring, coaching, and performance management of the finance team and serving as a representative of the Whirlpool Leadership Model and values across the organization.
## Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting
