Description
Location: Our Solutions Engineer, DoiT Cloud Intelligence, will be an integral part of our Solutions Engineering / Field Engineering team in APAC. This role is based remotely in APJ timezone, and requires native-level Thai language fluency to serve our Thai customers, prospects, and AWS field teams.
Who We Are
DoiT is a global technology company empowering cloud-driven organizations to achieve business growth and innovation through strategic cloud utilization. We blend data, technology, and human expertise to ensure our customers operate in a well-architected and scalable state, from initial planning to full-scale production.
With extensive experience across various cloud environments, we possess deep specializations in Cloud Data Platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, as well as FinOps expertise. As a trusted and award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, we proudly support over 4,000 customers worldwide.
Our flagship offering is DoiT Cloud Intelligence (DCI), which uniquely combines advanced technology with human insight, enabling us to solve complex multicloud challenges and drive significant efficiency for our clients.
The DoiT Cloud Intelligence platform:
- Provides deep visibility into cloud cost, usage, performance, and optimization opportunities across complex multi-cloud environments, enabling organizations to make data-driven infrastructure decisions.
- Combines automation, analytics, and expert guidance to identify savings opportunities, improve resource efficiency, and continuously optimize cloud investments at scale.
- Powers Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Systems Integrators (SIs), and Private Equity (PE) operating teams with portfolio-level insights, benchmarking, and operational tooling to manage multiple cloud environments effectively.
- Goes beyond reporting by delivering prescriptive recommendations and automated workflows that help engineering, finance, and platform teams turn cloud intelligence into measurable operational and financial outcomes.
The Opportunity
As a Solutions Engineer supporting DoiT Cloud Intelligence in Thailand, you will be the hands-on technical face of DoiT in the local market. Partnering with Account Executives, Customer Success, and the AWS field team, you will help Thai enterprises, digital natives, MSPs, and Systems Integrators unlock actionable insights across their AWS and multi-cloud environments — driving cost efficiency, operational visibility, and smarter cloud decision-making through DCI.
This is a growth-oriented Field Engineering role. You are chartered to drive DCI and product adoption through high-impact technical sales plays, measurable revenue growth, partner-led pipeline, new logo acquisition, and upsell/cross-sell motions. You will sit at the intersection of customers, cloud platforms, and our product — an embedded technical partner inside the account team rather than a reactive support resource.
Responsibilities
Technical Qualification & Discovery: Collaborate with the Account Executive to thoroughly understand the prospect’s cloud environment, FinOps maturity, cost management challenges, and operational goals through in-depth technical discovery sessions across engineering, finance, and platform teams.
Technical Validation & POV Leadership: Own and drive technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) exercises for DoiT Cloud Intelligence, including POV preparation, proactive management, and ensuring successful technical outcomes that demonstrate clear value and alignment with prospect requirements.
Platform Demonstrations: Develop and deliver compelling, tailored demonstrations of DCI in Thai and English, showcasing cloud cost visibility, optimization insights, and operational intelligence across complex multi-cloud environments.
Business Case & ROI Development: Leverage your understanding of cloud economics and FinOps to build business cases and ROI analyses that clearly articulate the financial and operational impact of adopting DCI, for both engineering and executive audiences.
AWS Partner-Led Growth: Work with AWS field teams and local partners on co-sell motions, partner-sourced pipeline, and accelerator programs — including GenAI, Migration Acceleration Program (MAP), and Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR) engagements. Support GTM initiatives that convert partner relationships into qualified opportunities.
Hands-On Cloud Engineering: Act as a trusted cloud engineer who designs and helps implement improvements in cost efficiency, resilience, security posture, and operational automation. Lead structured technical engagements such as optimization sessions, reliability and security reviews, architecture deep dives, migration assessments, and Well-Architected style assessments.
DCI Power User & Expertise: Become the go-to expert for DoiT Cloud Intelligence in the region: build analytics and cost allocation views, surface cost and risk opportunities, write Composer queries, create CloudFlow automations, and embed DCI into customer observability, governance, and CI/CD workflows.
Partner & Portfolio Motion Support (MSP, PE, SI): Support technical engagements with MSPs, PE firms, and SIs by demonstrating how DCI enables portfolio-level visibility, operational insight across multiple cloud environments, and scalable optimization strategies.
Technical Win Ownership: Take full ownership of the technical win for DCI engagements — guiding prospects through evaluation, addressing technical requirements, and building confidence in the platform’s ability to drive cloud efficiency and operational insight.
Reusable Assets & Enablement. Convert field work into reusable assets: playbooks, Terraform modules, automations, architecture diagrams, internal tooling, and documented patterns. Create external-facing technical content such as webinars, workshops, and customer enablement sessions in Thai.
Event & Conference Presentations. Represent DoiT and DCI at local and regional events, AWS events, webinars, and industry conferences, delivering engaging presentations and demonstrations.
Product Feedback & Customer Advocacy. Translate customer pain points, partner requirements, and feature gaps into structured, technically credible input for Product and Engineering, helping shape the evolution of the Cloud Intelligence platform. Represent the voice of the Thai and APAC technical customer in roadmap discussions.
Accurate, Timely Documentation. Ensure timely entry of data into internal business support systems and contribute to the tools and metrics that highlight business performance and effectiveness.
About You
You are an accomplished Solutions Engineer or hands-on cloud architect with customer-facing experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS or cloud consulting environment. You are a native Thai speaker who can move fluidly between a Thai-language executive conversation and an English-language technical deep dive with a global product team.
You are excited about enabling companies to transform themselves using the public cloud, and you hold yourself accountable for the success of any initiative you are involved in. You want to be part of a high-performance, growth-focused organization and you enjoy winning against the competition. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, entrepreneurial, remote-first environment across multiple time zones.
Qualifications
Native-level Thai fluency (spoken and written) with professional working proficiency in English.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on AWS (experience with GCP or Azure is a strong plus), with the ability to reason across compute, storage, networking, IAM, and observability.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role — Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, or Field/Forward Deployed Engineering — selling or delivering into enterprise and mid-market accounts.
- Depth in at least one technical domain: cloud infrastructure, data & analytics, or ML/GenAI.
- Practical FinOps and cloud cost management judgment: the ability to explain cost-versus-performance-versus-reliability tradeoffs to both engineers and finance/leadership stakeholders.
- Practical observability experience: monitoring, logging, and alerting, and an understanding of tools in the ecosystem such as Datadog, New Relic, ServiceNow, and cloud-native equivalents.
- An automation mindset with coding or scripting ability, plus hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD tooling.
- Strong data analysis skills and comfort navigating large data sets and spreadsheets to identify trends, outliers, correlations, and reconciliation needs.
- The ability to take complex pieces of technology and explain them in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
- Solid verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive-level prospects and customers.
- Comfort working in a metric-driven environment, reporting on and improving business performance against monthly KPIs.
- Experience working in an account-team model across multiple functions (AE, CSM, AM, TAM) and time zones.
- Intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Bonus Points
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, Advanced Networking, Machine Learning) or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
- Prior experience working with or alongside AWS partner programs (MAP, WAFR, GenAI accelerators) or within an AWS Partner / MSP / SI.
- Background in FinOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
- Experience with cloud cost management or cloud intelligence platforms such as DCI.
- Datacenter and hypervisor experience (e.g. VMware) in the context of migration to cloud.
- Experience with modern technical selling best practices, including trial, demo, POV, and RFP processes.
- Contributions to open source, public speaking, community leadership, or internal enablement.
- Track record of success in a fast-growing and scaling business.
