As our RN Float Pool, Weekend Option, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs during weekend shifts.
Every day you will promote the optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act, all while demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care and organizational values.
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment and communication skills, adaptability for weekend duties, and a commitment to patient safety and adherence to nursing standards, aligned with our organizational mission and core values.
- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
- Evaluates patient’s response and intervenes to ensure optimal patient outcome.
- Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including but not limited to IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
- Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
- Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.

We have reimagined our contingent staffing plan with a new Enterprise Resource Pool that offers many options for flexibility, variety, and career growth, while supporting our collective mission to deliver outstanding whole-person care to our flourishing communities. The Common Spirit Mountain Region Enterprise Resource Pool consists of both clinical and allied roles that flex or float throughout the Common Spirit Mountain Region system. Associates within the Enterprise Pool will have the opportunity to float to multiple units within one facility, a geographic group of facilities, or to all of our facilities. This pool will provide additional resources to support and supplement the workload and staffing needs across the system.
Enterprise Pool 2:
- Base rate + $6.75/Hr. Pool Differential + Weekend Option differential $10/hr + Eligible for evening and night differentials
- Assigned to one of four zones. Zone is determined based on your home location. Must be able to travel to the 3-5 hospitals assigned within that zone.
- 24 months of hospital RN experience in unit type/specialty area in which candidate will float

Job Requirements
Required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or by endorsement.
- One (1) year experience. Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
- RN License; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
- BLS from the American Heart Association required
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
