Sales Representative – Construction Materials
Location: Greater Ottawa Area
Base Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 + Commission
Harbinger Network Inc. has been retained to support a confidential search for a Sales Representative on behalf of a leading supplier of construction materials serving the Greater OTTAWA Area. Our client has been a trusted industry leader for more than 40 years, providing high-quality scaffolding and access solutions to the construction sector. Known for its strong commitment to safety, customer service, and product quality, the company offers a collaborative, fast-paced, and performance-driven environment where ambitious sales professionals can build long-term careers.

About the Opportunity
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving sales growth within the construction industry. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and has the drive to consistently exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and construction industry clients.

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing customer accounts.

Promote construction material solutions, with an emphasis on scaffolding and hoist systems.

Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage the sales process from prospecting through closing.

Meet or exceed established sales targets and revenue objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and project execution.

Stay informed on industry trends, market activity, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the construction materials industry.

Previous experience selling scaffolding, hoist systems, or related construction products is strongly preferred.

Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.

Strong understanding of construction industry sales methods and customer relationship management.

Self-motivated with the ability to independently lead sales pursuits.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong team-oriented mindset with a proactive and results-driven approach.

Aggressive, ambitious, and motivated to build long-term business relationships.
Compensation
A competitive compensation package is offered, including a base salary of $60,000 – $65,000, uncapped commission potential, and excellent opportunities for long-term career growth within a well-established industry leader.
