Description:
· Assist with day-to-day ED department operations such as overseeing operations, physicians, staff, etc.
· Oversee trauma coordinator and ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance within the department.
· Completes schedule and timecards; manages UKG and PTO requests and all timecard duties, etc.
· Holds daily huddles with ED department
· Manages patient complaint follow up, Midas incident reporting, etc.
· Manages and oversees quality assurance projects and quality initiatives in the department.
· Participates in Newton Leadership Team meetings
· Works with other ancillary department leaders to on process improvements
· Epic experience
· Addresses staffing issues
ED Summary:
· Avg daily census 20-30 patients
· Rural Demo PPS hospital (not Critical Access)
· Annual ED visits - 9,200 - 9,800; Level 3 trauma center
· 1 ED physician per shift; 12 hour shifts
· Total hospital employees: 205
Position Requirements:
- Licensed in IA (or compact state)
- BLS; ACLS; PALS; TNCC
- BSN
- Minimum 5-years clinical experience in ED
- Prior management experience required
*Non-Benefited position. Mon-Fri; no weekends.
