AltairStrickland, LLC, founded in 1976, is a mechanical contracting company specializing in serving the petrochemical industry and is part of the EMCOR Industrial Services group of companies.

We are looking for a full-time Business Development Representative who can help grow our business by developing strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining an active presence with both existing and prospective customers. While the preferred location is the Houston area, remote candidates may be considered depending on their home base of operations and ability to meet the travel and business requirements of the position.

Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored benefit programs supporting their health, protection, and future. The position also provides access to PTO at the time of hire and additional benefits, including our Degree Assistance Program.

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying target customers, developing and following up on sales leads, maintaining ongoing client relationships, supporting Company sales forecasting, and serving as a direct liaison with customers. Solicit client feedback, maintain regular client interaction, and develop market knowledge to strengthen relationships and identify future business opportunities.
  • Provide clients and prospective customers with appropriate Company marketing materials and follow up on sales inquiries, proposals, and potential opportunities. Respond to client questions and obtain additional information necessary to advance opportunities and support the pursuit of new work.
  • Collaborate with Company management and appropriate departments regarding prospective opportunities, including unique scope requirements, commercial considerations, scheduling needs, and other project-specific requirements, to position the Company for the best opportunity to successfully secure the work.
  • Maintain client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including follow-up before project execution, during active operations, and after project completion. Help ensure customer expectations are addressed and coordinate with the appropriate Company departments to resolve concerns or issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in good-faith commercial discussions and negotiations on behalf of the Company, within established authority, regarding commercial concerns, out-of-scope work, clarifications, and client-relations matters while supporting the Company’s business objectives and established directives.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records and reports of business development and sales activities, including call reports, sales orders, backlog, forecasts, customer tracking, sales database information, and contact information for key client decision-makers. Maintain regular communication with key contacts and track relevant titles, responsibilities, and relationship activities.
