Position Summary...

The (USA) Merchant leads category strategy and financial management for a moderately complex category, driving pricing, promotion, and channel decisions to meet business objectives. This role involves supplier negotiation, assortment planning, and customer-focused execution across multiple channels. The Merchant leverages data analysis to inform decisions, manages team performance, and supports operational initiatives to enhance profitability and customer experience. Collaboration with cross-functional partners ensures alignment with company goals while fostering continuous improvement and innovation within the category. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills.

The candy team is dedicated to enhancing Member experience and delivering strong value through strategic vendor partnerships. This team leads category strategy, financial management, and supplier relationships to drive business growth. They focus on data-driven decision-making and collaborate across functions to optimize pricing, promotions, and assortment. With a commitment to operational excellence, the team supports continuous improvement and innovation. Members are empowered to manage priorities effectively while fostering a results-oriented environment that aligns with company goals and ensures a seamless customer experience across all channels.

What you'll do...

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
• Manage pricing, promotion, and channel strategies to optimize profitability and market position.
• Analyze competitive landscape, customer behavior, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
• Oversee supplier negotiations, performance tracking, and terms management to ensure value and compliance.
• Lead and develop team members, setting priorities and fostering a high-performance environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support inventory, assortment, and modular planning initiatives.
• Utilize data analysis tools to generate insights and drive strategic business improvements.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and profit and loss management for assigned categories.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for moderately complex categories.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and budget forecasting.
• Expertise in supplier management, negotiation, and performance tracking.
• Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance evaluation, and engagement.
• Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to drive strategic insights and operational improvements.
• Effective decision-making skills with a focus on customer-centric and omni-channel strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
