Description

Are you a dedicated Band 5 Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) looking for a rewarding role that combines clinical expertise with staff training and development? We are seeking a compassionate, skilled clinician to support our community teams in delivering safe, high-quality complex care to both children and adults.

About the Role

In this varied community-based role, you will:

  • Deliver training and assessment of clinical competencies for care staff supporting clients with complex needs in their homes.
  • Support staff in developing confidence and capability in areas such as tracheostomy care, ventilation, enteral feeding, epilepsy management, and other specialised skills.
  • Conduct competency sign-offs and provide ongoing clinical guidance.
  • Carry out occasional joint visits to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Work independently across the local area, managing your time effectively.
  • Be flexible to accommodate occasional early mornings or late evenings to meet service and training needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A Registered Nurse (RN Children, Adult or RNLD) or ODP at Band 5 level.
  • Confident in teaching, assessing, and coaching staff in clinical skills (previous training experience desirable but not essential).
  • Passionate about delivering safe, high-quality care to people with complex health needs.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with staff, clients, and families.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
  • A car driver with access to a vehicle (essential for community work).
