ABOUT THE POSITION

The Facilities team plays a critical role in keeping our distribution center operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. By maintaining the equipment, systems, and infrastructure that support daily operations, the team helps ensure product moves seamlessly through our network while creating a safe and productive environment for employees.

As a Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you will provide hands-on technical leadership while remaining actively engaged in maintenance and repair activities throughout the distribution center. You will serve as the lead technician during your assigned shift, coordinating maintenance priorities, supporting equipment reliability, mentoring fellow technicians, and helping drive operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving complex issues, sharing technical expertise, and making a direct impact on distribution center performance.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Lead daily maintenance activities, coordinate work priorities, and ensure maintenance readiness across the distribution center.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and facility systems to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Partner with Operations, Facilities, Safety, and other teams to resolve issues and support business objectives.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to maintenance technicians while supporting their development and success.
  • Monitor work order completion, prioritize maintenance requests, and maintain accurate documentation within the CMMS system.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety programs, identifying hazards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Inspect and maintain facility infrastructure, building systems, tools, and equipment to support a safe and efficient operation.

YOU ARE

  • A hands-on technical leader who enjoys coaching and supporting others while leading by example.
  • A strong problem solver with the ability to diagnose issues, evaluate solutions, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • An effective communicator who can collaborate across departments and provide clear direction to teammates.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Committed to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in everything you do.

YOU HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, conveyor, and facility systems.
  • Experience leading maintenance activities, mentoring technicians, or serving as a technical resource for a team.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance documentation practices.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
