  • Manage and direct freelance creative support as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Visual, Copy, Marketing Operations, Store Operations and other cross-functional partners to workshop creative solutions and problem-solve throughout project development.
  • Oversee projects through production and final execution, including proof review, print production considerations, materials and substrate recommendations, signage implementation and mock-store presentation.
  • Represent the Art Department in cross-functional briefings, creative reviews and higher-level meetings.
  • Present creative work and recommendations to senior creative leadership and communicate feedback and direction back to the design team.

Role Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in an Art Director or comparable creative leadership role, with experience managing and directing designers.
  • Strong graphic design, typography and art direction skills with a sophisticated visual sensibility.
  • Fashion, retail or lifestyle brand experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes, with experience across signage, packaging, large-format graphics and printed collateral.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; experience working within Asana or a comparable project-management platform.
  • Ability to independently lead multiple projects from concept through production while managing competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative direction and rationale.

Qualities:

  • Flexible and nimble, with the ability to pivot quickly as priorities, timelines and creative direction evolve.
  • Comfortable working within tight timelines and responding to high-priority and executive-level requests.
  • Strong creative thinker and problem-solver who can move fluidly between concept development, art direction and execution.
  • Collaborative leader who can provide clear, actionable feedback while empowering designers to independently own their work.
