How you will create an impact


As a senior role within the UK Cyber and Technology practice, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cyber & Technology professional to join a dynamic team at one of the largest insurers of Cyber and Technology risks.


This role will be critical in continuing the growth trajectory of UK Cyber and Technology, focussing on our largest and most complex clients. This role will work closely with the UK Cyber & Technology leadership team, as well as the wider UK Financial Lines leadership team as a key contributor to executing on our strategy. You will be an important collaborator with the wider business including our Cyber Risk Advisory practice, our cyber and technology claims specialists, our Multinational and Captive division, as well as our Client & Broker Engagement teams.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a portfolio of our largest and most complex primary layer accounts, meeting with clients and brokers to bring AIG’s value proposition to the fore and support them in navigating the evolving risk landscape of cyber and technology.
  • Maximise AIG’s value proposition as a differentiator and win new business placed in the London market.
  • Contribute towards strategies alongside the UK Head of Account and associated management team to build profitable growth to the UK Cyber and Technology portfolios.
  • Support and drive Broker Management initiatives.
  • Support the team’s production by delivering timely product changes/up-grades to keep up with market needs and trends.
  • Drive research and development, working alongside claims to make sure products launched are the result of market needs and company appetite.
  • Work closely with our Cyber Risk Advisory division to bring AIG’s Cyber Loss Control services to our clients, with tailored solutions helping to improve our clients on their risk management journey. This will include supporting our Cyber Risk Advisory team on critical alerting when monitoring our existing clients attack surface.
  • Work closely with our clients, brokers and our market-leading claims specialists to enhance our client’s incident response capabilities via the AIG CyberEdge First Response proposition, including co-hosting our incident response workshops alongside our claims team.
  • Link with the other minor lines and regional heads to drive cross sell opportunities, leveraging broader company relationships.
  • Collaborate with our Client and Broker Engagement division to maximise our client’s cross-class customer experience with AIG.
  • Work with our Multinational and Captive teams to identify, craft and execute complex risk transfer and risk management programs that span geographies around the world.
  • Contribute towards thought leadership for both internal and external use anchored in claims activity and emerging trends.

What you’ll need to succeed


  • A demonstrable track record and experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong experience in Cyber or Technology Underwriting, Broking or Claims
  • A good understanding of the Cyber and Technology business model, underwriting methodology and the risks we assume.
  • High level of business acumen.
  • High level of problem-solving skills, as well as dealing with ambiguity.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent presentation, prioritization, communication and time management skills.
