Position Summary
The Medicare Sales Strategy & Enablement Internship experience is an 11-week full-time opportunity that starts on May 24th, 2027, and concludes on August 4th, 2027.


This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in the Hartford, CT office location. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. CVS Health's hybrid work model provides office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. Relocation assistance may be provided for candidates that qualify. 


As a CVS Health Corporate Intern you will participate in:

The hourly rate is $26/hr with 40 hours/week, no work on July 4th (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Additionally, our corporate interns have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a future role with CVS Health. 


Sponsorship 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs. 


About this Business Area 

The Sales Strategy organization within Aetna's Individual Medicare Sales Center of Excellence helps drive the success of Medicare sales and broker engagement initiatives across the country. This team develops programs, tools, and strategies that support brokers, market leaders, and sales professionals in delivering exceptional experiences and helping members understand their healthcare coverage options. 


As part of this organization, Aetna Academy serves as a high-visibility training and development program supporting Individual Medicare, Medicare Supplement, and Ancillary products. The team focuses on creating scalable processes, improving program effectiveness, and enhancing learning experiences that help business partners succeed while supporting CVS Health's mission to improve health outcomes and access to care. 


You Will Gain Valuable Work Experience and Participate In: 

  • Evaluating business processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and program effectiveness 
  • Developing project management skills through planning, coordinating, and executing strategic initiatives 
  • Creating process maps, standard operating procedures, and reusable tools that support operational excellence 
  • Exploring the responsible use of AI technologies to automate workflows and improve business processes 
  • Analyzing program performance metrics and broker engagement data to identify trends and opportunities 
  • Supporting the development of executive-ready presentations, communications, and business recommendations 
  • Collaborating with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support training, learning, and performance initiatives 
  • Gaining exposure to sales strategy, sales enablement, operations, analytics, and organizational effectiveness practices 

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include: active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects 
  • Have internship, work, or project experience in a related field 
  • Show strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Have an interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation 
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in process mapping and process improvement methodologies 
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT and an understanding of responsible AI usage 
  • Experience with project management principles, organizational tools, or process improvement initiatives
  • Data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development experience 
  • Experience creating presentations, training materials, or learning resources
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams and functions
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, professionalism, and problem-solving skills

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and June 2028
  • Have a major relevant to the position such as Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
