Overview
The Vice President, People Business Partners is a senior enterprise HR executive accountable for defining, governing, and delivering the company’s global People Business Partner strategy and operating model. This role owns the alignment of people strategy with enterprise business objectives and serves as a key advisor and delegate of the Chief People Officer in driving organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and long-term workforce health.
Responsibilities
Strategic People Business Partner Leadership: Serve as the enterprise owner of the People Business Partner function, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while setting direction, standards, and expectations for PBP impact across the organization.
- Define and continuously evolve the global PBP operating model, including role clarity, capability requirements, governance mechanisms, and measures of effectiveness.
- Define, approve, and oversee enterprise HR/People and PBP strategies aligned to the company’s long-term business objectives, ensuring consistency, scalability, and measurable impact.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure HR/People initiatives are integrated into the overall business strategy.
- Drive engagement and retention programs, ensuring the creation of an environment where employees are empowered and motivated to achieve their best work.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes, restructuring, or growth.
- Partner with People Team leadership to execute on talent management strategy, including leadership development, succession planning, and career pathing.
- Champion the company’s leadership development and succession planning initiatives, identifying and developing high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
- Monitor key People metrics to ensure organizational health and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and steward the global PBP organization, building a strong leadership bench, setting performance expectations, and ensuring PBP leaders are developed to operate at enterprise scale.
- Provide coaching and guidance to PBP team members, helping them navigate complex HR/People issues and develop their professional skills.
- Establish clear goals and performance expectations for the PBP team, tracking progress and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to implement creative solutions and streamline processes.
- Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to the organization’s values and mission.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of People initiatives, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure enterprise-wide compliance, risk mitigation, and ethical application of People practices, serving as a senior escalation point for complex people, performance, and employee relations matters.
- Prepare and present reports on People metrics to senior leadership, demonstrating the impact of People strategies on business outcomes.
- Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
- Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience in HR business partnering, and organizational development.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and talent acquisition strategies.
- Demonstrated experience operating as an enterprise HR executive, exercising decision-making authority, sound judgment, and influence with C-suite and senior leaders in complex environments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using HR technology and analytics tools to support decision-making.
- Deep knowledge of workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

- Required to travel up to 15% per year, as needed.
- Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
- Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
Base compensation ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
