Role summary: The PIC team facilitates the Capital System and supports the investment process by collaborating with the Principal Investment Officer (PIO) of the strategy, Portfolio Strategy Management team (PSM) and stakeholders such as Trading, Legal, Client group along with other IO teams and business leadership. Responsible for end-to-end oversight of the strategy and ensuring the strategy remains in compliance and alignment with prospectus and internal guidelines, mitigate risk, and increase operational efficiency for the strategy. Work independently on most assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior staff on more complex scenarios, projects, analysis and tasks. Lead or participate in departmental projects and work on solution design initiatives. Bring energy and enthusiasm to the environment and works collaboratively to help PIC meet its business goals.

Facilitation of the Capital System & Support Investment Group (IG) with Strategy Management
Help to collaborate on Strategy activities with PIO, PSM and stakeholders, which may include
o Plan and coordinate restructure activities with strategy participants who are gaining or giving up assets and with strategy stakeholders. Strive to consider impacts and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve.
o Perform compliance, operational, eligibility, ownership, tax related, legal checks and obtain internal approvals as needed for orders.
o Help to update the PIO & PSM on cash flows, analyse cash flow trends while factoring all impactful activities (CIT transitions, vehicle account launch) to advise an action plan. Execute cash allocations / callbacks in Reference Funds or preparing and implementing trade lists in portfolios to invest or raise cash.
o Develop new reports and generates existing reports to highlight discrepancies or potential areas of concern, presenting to the Investment Group as necessary.
Partner and collaborate with the PIO, PSM and other stakeholders. Apply knowledge, skills, and experience to analyse compliance alerts, determine which alerts require intervention/further coordination, and engage with the PIO, PSM and/or other stakeholders to reflect maximum convictions in the portfolios timely.
Understand how reference fund activities (restructures, cash movements) and vehicle operations are interconnected and assists in taking the appropriate next steps.
o Help provide critical analysis and recommendations to minimize position/results dispersion between reference and strategies mirroring it and to avoid unintended impacts in client portfolios.
Delivery of the Capital System via Portfolio Strategy Management (PSM)
- Support daily operations of the portfolio strategies (cash flows, optimizations & order management) while escalating issues, as appropriate.
- Provide detailed, practical understanding of vehicle optimization processes and the end-to-end knowledge of upstream data dependencies that impact vehicle alignment.
- Demonstrate in-depth conceptual knowledge of portfolio optimization objectives: specific client and strategy details, asset-class impacts and liquidity considerations.
- Provide timely monitoring and communications to Portfolio Strategy Specialists and Managers and ensures optimal production health is maintained.
- Help in identifying gaps and implement controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate hand-off of relevant items to other PIC locations.
Evolving with Our Clients
- Participate in the planning and execution of standard and complex activities including institutional account onboarding, fund launches, fund closures, strategy change, vehicle conversion, funds of funds solution, and new product launches.

- Working with the key stakeholders to execute tasks associated with each stage of the software lifecycle developmen
o Assist in defining problem statement(s) and aligns stakeholders through a well-defined business case.

o Elicit and documents business requirements with understanding of end-to-end process and performs impact analysis
o Assist in identifying solution options with cost benefit analysi

Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrate a general understanding of the Capital System, the investment process, the Equity Investment Group and its investment divisions, the Strategy, and may demonstrate other differentiated business acumen or technical skills that raise the overall profile, skill-level, or quality of tools of the team.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of PIC functions, and interconnections with other GIC teams’ policies, procedures and systems and ability to apply them to work assignments.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the functionalities and operational intersections of Global Investment Control and Capital Group.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the securities and investment business and Capital’s investment process and ability to apply to work assignments.·
- Demonstrate ability to be self-driven to understand how and why things work, the financial industry and/or the connections between processes and technology.
- Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and ability to pre-empt issues to work assignments.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of the lineup of Strategies and their characteristics and objectives.
- Strengthen relationships and builds trust with the Investment Group, Trading, and other adjacent teams by anticipating needs and offering solutions.
- Through good judgment and decision making, helps manages the workflow to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to influence decisions and outcomes with stakeholders such as associates, senior business leaders and IG.
