What do we need?

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the St. Anne's property and supporting additional People Serving People sites as needed. This role ensures a clean, welcoming, and dignified environment for guests, staff, and visitors while applying trauma-informed care principles in daily interactions.

This position works closely with the St. Anne’s Volunteer Coordinator to support and guide volunteer groups assisting with housekeeping-related projects. 

Responsibilities for Housekeeping Associate:

• Maintain general cleanliness of interior and exterior building areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, window washing, restroom sanitation, and trash removal.
• Assist with laundering guest linens and towels as needed.
• Clean vacant, turnover, and heavily used rooms when required.
• Support the cleanliness and readiness of shared spaces to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Lead and support volunteers and contracted temporary workers during cleaning activities.
• Partner with the St. Anne’s Volunteer Coordinator to organize, direct, and ensure quality completion of volunteer housekeeping projects.
• Apply Trauma-Informed Care principles in daily interactions with guests and team members.
• Cover multiple properties as assigned to ensure operational needs are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provides task-level oversight and direction to volunteer groups and temporary workers during assigned projects.
• Works closely with the St. Anne’s Volunteer Coordinator to plan, support, and ensure the successful execution of volunteer-led housekeeping efforts.

Pay and Benefits for Housekeeping Associate:

• Pay $25.00 per hour
• Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ; (30 hours/wk)

Requirements

Requirements for Housekeeping Associate:

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required.

Other Qualifications :  

• One year experience in Housekeeping field.
• Experience working in residential properties desired.
• Physical ability for high mobility.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Experience working with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Experience working with homeless families and/or individuals preferred. 
• Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass the People Serving People (PSP) driver qualification process to operate company vehicles.
• This position may be assigned to work at multiple People Serving People (PSP) locations based on daily operational needs. While the employee will have a primary work location, assignments may vary from day to day.
• The Housekeeping Associate must be willing to adjust work locations and responsibilities as needed to help maintain consistent service levels and quality standards across departments and sites. This flexibility ensures uninterrupted operations and supports our commitment to providing stable, high-quality environments for guests and staff.
• Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, kneel, bend, and pick up items up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent mobility is required across building spaces and between assigned properties.

• Self-motivated, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
