Clinic Receptionist

Bear Lake Memorial Healthcare is seeking a qualified receptionist to help them in the BLMH Bear Lake Clinic in Garden City, Utah. The receptionist will be responsible for checking patients in and out, managing appointments, and supporting the professional staff with patient care tasks.
 

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

• Register patients upon arrival for Urgent Care and all other clinic providers and services.
• Assist the professional staff as needed with patients.
• Help incoming and outgoing patients.
• Assist in making calls to pharmacy for physicians to inquire and/or submit prescriptions.
• Take messages from patients and relay to providers or other staff.
• Ability to discern urgent/emergent needs of patients. 
• Assist in directing patients to exam room when needed.
• Handle telephone calls (primarily incoming, and some outgoing patient messages)
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Process patient payments.
• Work with insurance companies for pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Scan patient records
• Ensure controlled substance scripts are handled appropriately. 
• Other related duties as assigned.
