  • Plan, manage, and perform hydrogeologic investigations associated with landfills and other solid waste facilities.
  • Evaluate groundwater flow, groundwater quality, geologic conditions, and potential impacts associated with solid waste facilities.
  • Manage groundwater monitoring and assessment programs, including evaluation of analytical data, groundwater elevations, trends, and potential changes in groundwater quality.
  • Design and oversee monitoring well installation, drilling programs, aquifer testing, groundwater sampling, and related field investigations.
  • Assist with investigation and evaluation of groundwater quality exceedances; statistically significant quality changes in monitoring wells, seeps, springs; and other potential environmental impacts.
  • Develop and update hydrogeologic conceptual site models and evaluate groundwater flow conditions.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, monitoring reports, permit documents, work plans, proposals, cost estimates, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Coordinate with PADEP and other regulatory agencies regarding permitting, compliance, monitoring, and hydrogeologic issues.
  • Communicate directly with clients, laboratories, contractors, and other project team members.
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Participate in field activities as needed throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Base Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geoscience, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant environmental consulting experience.

  • Experience with hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater monitoring, or groundwater assessment.
  • Strong technical writing and data evaluation skills.
  • Experience preparing technical reports and regulatory submittals.
  • Ability to independently manage technical assignments and multiple project priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients, regulators, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
