Job Overview
You will report directly to the Facilities Leader and ensure that equipment like press brakes, welders, lasers, and hoists operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to execute preventative maintenance, and the initiative to implement permanent solutions to equipment breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and keep accurate service records.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Initiate requests to order necessary replacement parts.
- Follow and enforce all internal safety policies and workplace practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain in-house forklift certification if needed.
- Communicate professionally with co-workers and internal departments.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Related technical experience, training, or a solid combination of education and hands-on maintenance background.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with industrial hand tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
