Job Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and shipping materials, parts, and finished goods. This position ensures inbound and outbound material is properly identified, processed, and recorded in Epicor Kinetic while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting production requirements
Essential Job Functions
• Receive incoming materials, parts, supplies, and equipment and verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
• Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage, discrepancies, and identification issues and communicate exceptions to Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Enter and maintain receiving transactions accurately in Epicor Kinetic.
• Pull and prepare materials and parts for shipment using pick tickets, packing lists, and handheld scanners.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, destinations, and shipping requirements before material leaves the facility.
• Package, label, stage, and load outbound shipments in accordance with company and carrier requirements.
• Process transfers and movement of inventory between warehouse and plant locations.
• Maintain accurate records of receipts, shipments, transfers, and inventory transactions.
• Identify and report shortages, overages, damaged materials, and other receiving or shipping discrepancies.
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas and ensure materials are stored in designated locations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
• Assist with inventory counts and investigate discrepancies as directed.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Parts, Accounting, and other departments to resolve material and shipping issues.
• Follow established procedures for inventory control, material handling, safety, and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Inventory Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager.
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems.
• Experience with Epicor Kinetic or another ERP system is preferred.
• Ability to accurately read part numbers, purchase orders, pick tickets, packing lists, and shipping documentation.
• Ability to operate a handheld scanner and accurately perform barcode transactions.
• Forklift experience preferred; ability to obtain company-required certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with other departments.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing PPE
· Visual and auditory ability to identify safety hazards and operational issues
Working Conditions
This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
