Job Description Summary
You will join the Gas Power Engineering organization within the Grid Response Integration and Modeling team, which is responsible for ensuring plant compliance across complex regulatory landscapes. As Grid Code Integration Leader, you will orchestrate engineering efforts and act as the primary technical interface for customers, grid operators, and certification bodies. In this role, you will lead the coordination of grid compliance activities for our Heavy-Duty, Aeroderivative, and Services upgrades projects. You will join a diverse and global team of 30+ engineers, leveraging your expertise to solve mission-critical grid challenges while driving your professional growth within GE Vernova.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Project Leadership
- Lead grid code compliance activities across projects of varying complexity, acting as transversal lead to coordinate technical teams autonomously.
- Partner with other GE Vernova project teams to ensure globally synchronized deliverables and organizational alignment.
- Analyze contract technical requirements (product specifications, scope, schedule) and ensure full compliance with grid code deliverables.
- Translate project requirements into clear, actionable direction for grid code engineering teams.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and guide engineering teams through key milestones: modeling, simulations, certificates of conformity, site test procedures, and on-site testing.
Compliance, Risk & Delivery
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all grid code deliverables.
- Drive consistency and alignment across inter-team deliverables and technical responses.
- Proactively identify technical risks: coordinate development and execution of mitigation action plans
- Lead procurement activities related to grid code compliance work.
- Capture lessons learned and advised commercial operation teams on strategies to reduce risk in future bids/projects.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Growth
- Stay current on evolving grid code standards, product developments, and industry best practices.
- Own and deliver against individual performance objectives.
- Identify and propose process improvements to enhance team performance and standard work.
- Actively contribute to Lean-based continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or strongly related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Applications Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in Project Engineering.
Eligibility Requirements:
- This role could see travel up from 10-20% within a year (domestically and internationally).
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Greenville, SC. If not already local, relocation assistance can be provided.
Desired Characteristics:
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification (preferred).
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple parallel projects in rapidly changing environments.
- High degree of autonomy, resilience, and analytical problem-solving.
- Strong team spirit, responsiveness, and cultural sensitivity; comfortable working in multicultural/global environments.
- Deep understanding of thermal power plants, turbomachinery, grid codes, and electrical network requirements.
- Skilled in power systems software including ETAP, MATLAB, PSS/E, PSCAD, etc.
- Knowledge of network architectures, with a preference for experience in data acquisition and signal digitization.
- Excellent communication skills with direct experience managing customer expectations and relationships.
- Strong negotiation capabilities to resolve project conflicts and align priorities.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
