HGV Supervisor

Salary - £41,220.98 plus performance bonus. OTE £47,837.33 (pay award pending)

Hours: 4 on 2 off shift pattern, 07:45 - 17:30 (Winter) / 18:30 (select days in Summer)

Location: Merseyside - primarily based at Bidston Recycling Centre, CH41 1EB

What will you be doing?

• Provide support to the transport supervisor in the allocation of vehicles and drivers through planning and absence controls
• Control operations by strategically deploying vehicles to maximise efficiency across the contract
• Collaborate with colleagues, internal and external customers, and third parties to ensure outstanding customer service
• Provide hands-on IT support to your team; and drive continuous improvement by assessing driver performance and identifying learning opportunities
• Complete driving assessments
• Coordinate breakdown and recovery services
• Drive and operate rigid and when required articulated vehicles (subject to appropriate licence category) to transport waste and recycling materials
• Complete paper and digital records of work activity

What are we looking for?

• Similar operational supervisory experience 
• IOSH Managing Safely
• Level 3 Team Leadership or equivalent experience
• HGV Class 2 Licence - (Class 1 Licence desirable)
• Up to date CPC and Digi / Tachograph card
