What can you expect?

As the Equipment and Logistics Manager, you will work on-site in Seattle, WA and be responsible for the management of the Seattle Shop and Yard, including supervising the maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment. In addition, you will work with the Construction and Environmental teams regarding logistics coordination for project associated materials and equipment that come through the Seattle location. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills are essential to complete job duties with minimal guidance.  Assignments are deadline driven so you must be able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure environment.

 

How will you do it?

  • Responsible and accountable for Seattle located fleet and equipment maintenance, inspection and repairs.
  • Provide logistics support to Project Management teams to ensure equipment and materials arrive at remote locations on time.
  • Directly support mobilization and demobilization activities as needed to ensure schedules are met and projects are adequately supported.
  • Lead and create an effective team through diligent management and engaged leadership. 
  • Lead a proactive safety culture and be the group’s safety champion. 
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. 
  • Perform other duties as directed. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility, but manages the day-to-day activities of the Mechanics and Mechanic Helper:

  • Manage the workflow of employees, creating team schedules and delegating tasks 
  • Support the training and onboarding of new hires to make sure they understand their roles 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with employees and business partners via written and verbal communication methods. 
  • Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others in a friendly and positive manner. 
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and effectively plan and organize duties to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to direct tasks, manage team deliverables, mentor junior staff, and ensure accountability for team objectives.  
  • Ability to lead collaborations and resolve team/interpersonal conflicts. 

 

Who is Brice Environmental Services looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and experience in Word and Excel 
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Brice Environmental’s Driving Policy. 
  • Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screenings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience as an Equipment Supervisor, Senior Mechanic or similar role including logistics management preferred

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Brice Environmental Services has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.  At times, work is performed outside of the office at indoor and outdoor job sites.  Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
