Description
The Supervisor Pharmacy Services Hospital serves as the primary resource for pharmacist, technician, and support staff in the department. The position ensures that technical personnel are well trained and competent in their responsibilities, and that the drug distribution system operates as effectively and efficiently as possible. Additional responsibilities include identifying areas for improvement related to drug distribution, the pharmacist and technician practice model and day-to-day pharmacy operations, and making appropriate, informed decisions or recommendations to address these areas.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Addresses and resolves patient and provider complaints arising from the registration, billing or collection processes; provides answers to patients and provider questions regarding operational policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with system and department policy and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations for any outside government regulatory agency, including the processing of appropriate forms and paperwork.
- Contributes to the overall team effort of achieving the department financial and operational goals; meets productivity standards, quality review expectations, unit specific goals, and reporting requirements as assigned.
- Identifies and/or participates in opportunities for department growth and process improvement.
- Supervises the work of others, and manages the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with other practices and departments; collaborates with Human Resources on recruitment, hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, and corrective action.
- Creates and sustains a culture in the practice that reflects the Franciscan Mission and Values.
- Supervise and support the requests of Point of Service (POS) collections for copay, pre-payment and outstanding balances; assist coworkers in effort to contact Financial Counselors and/or Customer Service, for further explanation/education on the patient cost share, payment plans, and charity options.
- Supervise and support coworkers to appropriately note in EPIC, when patient is unable to make payment for copay, pre-payment or outstanding balance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy
- Preferred Doctorate PharmD
- 3 years progressive hospital pharmacy practice experience with documented success in a hospital or integrated healthcare system, managed care, and/or hospital environment with broad clinical, operational, and regulatory practical experience. Required
- Registered Pharmacist (RPh) - State Licensing Board Required
