Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing engineering team and play a key role in the industrialisation, validation, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. Working within a high-value, low-volume environment, you'll help transform engineering designs into stable, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing methods that deliver exceptional quality.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be at the heart of bringing new products into production and improving existing manufacturing processes. You'll:

• Lead APQP activities for new products and process changes.

• Develop and maintain Process Maps, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and manufacturing documentation.

• Create and manage FAIR packages and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

• Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM) reviews to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.

• Identify and reduce manufacturing risks through structured problem-solving and process optimisation.

• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturing readiness.

• Support continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, quality, and delivery performance.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach.

Essential:

• Experience in a Manufacturing, Process, Methods, or Industrial Engineering role.

• Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Mapping.

• Experience producing FAIR documentation and Inspection & Test Plans.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and departments.

Desirable:

• Experience within CNC machining environments including milling, turning, grinding, or multi-axis machining.

• Knowledge of turbine assemblies, rotating equipment, or precision mechanical products.

• Experience in aerospace, defence, energy, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AS9100, or ISO9001.

This work is undertaken with UK Defence customers which will require any individual applying for the role to hold or be capable of getting SC Level clearance as a UK Passport Holder.
