The BioProcess Downstream Hardware Sales Specialist, Korea is responsible for driving growth of Cytiva’s Downstream Hardware business in Korea by partnering with Account Managers to identify customer needs, position workflow-based solutions, and support strategic opportunities from technical discussion through proposal and project execution.
This position reports to the BioProcess Hardware Modality Leader, Korea and is part of the Bioprocessing Sales organization located in Korea, working remotely to cover customers across Korea.
What you will do:
- Drive Downstream Hardware sales growth by identifying opportunities linked to customer purification workflows, facility investments, scale-up needs, GMP requirements, and capacity expansion plans.
- Partner with Account Managers to build account strategies, develop qualified funnels, manage opportunities in SFDC, and support accurate forecasting.
- Provide technical and commercial consultation on chromatography systems, process columns, automated downstream systems, and related hardware configurations.
- Lead or support customer meetings, product presentations, site visits, workshops, equipment discussions, technical clarifications, quotations, tenders, and proposals.
- Review customer requirements, including URS, equipment lists, process needs, utility requirements, documentation expectations, project scope, lead time, and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution with Sales, Modality, Service, Commercial Operations, Product Management, Supply Chain, and regional/global teams.
- Develop customer and internal capability through training, seminars, technical workshops, competitor insight sharing, standard materials, FAQs, and workflow-based value messaging.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in life sciences, biotechnology, chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial, application, technical support, or product specialist roles within the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, CDMO, or life science equipment industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with chromatography systems, process columns, bioprocess equipment, or automated process systems.
- Experience supporting technical proposals, tenders, customer workshops, or capital equipment projects
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements:
- Fluent level of English and Korean in written and verbal communications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally based on business needs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to visit customer sites across Korea.
- If foreign national, legal work authorization is required to pursue employment in Korea.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with chromatography systems, process columns, GMP manufacturing equipment, or automated process systems.
- Experience reviewing customer URS, equipment lists, utility requirements, documentation requirements, or project scope for large equipment opportunities.
- Experience working with regional or global teams to support strategic customer projects, tenders, proposals, or technical clarifications.
