Butler Montage Big Sky
Position Summary

As a Butler at Montage Big Sky, you will serve as a trusted ambassador of the resort, providing highly personalized, intuitive, and anticipatory service to our most discerning guests.
The Butler is responsible for delivering exceptional Forbes Five-Star service throughout every stage of the guest journey. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned guests, creating seamless and memorable experiences through attention to detail, discretion, and a deep understanding of individual guest preferences. The Butler embodies the spirit of Montage by anticipating needs before they are expressed and ensuring every guest feels welcomed, valued, and exceptionally cared for.

Essential Functions
Personalized Guest Service
- Serve as the primary liaison for assigned VIP, residential, and luxury leisure guests.
- Establish meaningful relationships with guests and proactively understand personal preferences and expectations.
- Anticipate guest needs and arrange personalized experiences before, during, and after arrival.
- Coordinate all guest requests with resort departments to ensure flawless execution.
- Deliver personalized welcomes and escorts upon arrival when appropriate.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout guest stays to ensure satisfaction and immediate resolution of concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs
Experience Planning & Coordination
- Arrange dining reservations, transportation, activities, recreation experiences, and special celebrations.
- Coordinate customized itineraries for guests and families.
- Collaborate with Culinary, Spa, Recreation, Concierge, Housekeeping, Residences, and Front Office teams to curate exceptional experiences.
- Assist with unpacking, packing, garment pressing, and other personalized guest services as appropriate.
Luxury Service Standards
- Deliver Forbes Five-Star service standards in every interaction.
- Demonstrate exceptional discretion and professionalism when working with high-profile and VIP guests.
- Ensure guest accommodations are prepared according to individual preferences and special requests.
- Identify opportunities to create memorable moments and thoughtful service recoveries.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain detailed guest profiles and preference records.
- Document guest interactions and follow-up actions accurately.
- Communicate effectively with all resort departments to ensure continuity of service.
- Participate in daily operations meetings and VIP arrival planning.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of luxury hospitality experience.
- Experience within a Forbes Four-Star, Forbes Five-Star, Michelin-recognized, or equivalent luxury environment preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Preferred
- Butler certification or formal luxury hospitality training.
- Experience serving high-net-worth individuals, luxury residences, or private clubs.
- Multilingual abilities.
