We're currently looking for a Technician, Workplace Technology to join our Information Systems team at our Head Office in Burnaby.
In this role, you'll provide frontline technical support to employees across BCAA, helping ensure our workplace technology runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support device deployments, manage technology assets, coordinate vendor purchases, and contribute to ongoing technology projects that support our business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on technical support with coordination, asset management, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do
- Provide desktop and workplace technology support for employees across BCAA, both onsite and remotely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, mobile device, and application-related incidents and service requests.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and workplace technology solutions.
- Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, collaboration tools, and other business applications.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets and ensure inventory databases remain current.
- Coordinate technology purchases, vendor orders, software licensing, and equipment deployment schedules.
- Conduct regular hardware and software asset audits and support license compliance activities.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to manage technology contracts, renewals, warranties, and maintenance agreements.
- Monitor incident trends, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to continuous service improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and process guides.
- Support technology-related projects and initiatives across the Information Systems division.
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, financial reconciliation, forecasting, and reporting related to technology assets and services.
What you'll bring
- Experience providing desktop support and technical assistance in a corporate environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows-based devices, hardware, software, and peripheral technologies.
- Experience supporting mobile devices, including iPhone and mobile device management solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and common enterprise applications.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing technology assets, inventory, or software licensing is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of vendor management, purchasing processes, or contract administration is an asset.
- Experience supporting virtual desktop environments (VDI), such as Amazon WorkSpaces, would be an asset.
- A combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant experience will be considered.
The salary range for this position is $70,908.36 to $88,635.36 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
