Job Summary
We're seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of construction projects that support high-quality healthcare environments. In this role, you'll oversee projects from concept through completion, working closely with hospital leaders, architects, contractors, and regulatory partners to ensure facilities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.Patient Care: No
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Create and oversee project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
- Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with architects, construction firms, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Direct and coordinate construction activities to ensure work is completed according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying key milestones, risks, and potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including healthcare construction requirements and safety standards.
- Serve as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating communication among hospital leadership, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate final inspections, testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities to ensure a seamless transition to occupancy.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field required.
Experience may not be substituted for the required degree.
Experience
- 2–3 years of experience managing construction projects within hospital or healthcare facility environments required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with construction management software and project scheduling tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, building codes, and construction safety standards.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and project leadership skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and risk-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
