Kitchen Manager (KM)
Are you a passionate culinary leader ready to take charge of a high-performing kitchen? Boston Pizza CrossIron Mills is looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our Heart-of-House (HOH) operations with a focus on food quality, safety compliance, team leadership, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with Boston Pizza standards and Alberta Health Services regulations.
- Lead pre-shift meetings, line checks, and safety audits to uphold food safety and quality.
- Manage food and supply inventory, control costs, and minimize waste (target <1% per shift).
- Maintain equipment functionality and coordinate timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Lead, coach, and develop your kitchen team with ongoing training and performance reviews.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and motivating work environment.
- K-Time (kitchen speed): 85–90%
- 100% compliance on audits (AHS, CBSA, Steritech) with zero P1 or P2 violations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a KM role in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably Boston Pizza experience.
- Require Food Safety Certificate and First Aid Certificate
- A proactive, hands-on kitchen leader with strong organization and communication skills.
- Passionate about food quality, safety, and team development.
- Experienced in high-volume kitchen environments.
- Knowledgeable in AHS food safety standards and audit protocols.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
