Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM, the Client Solutions Group (CSG) consists of set of specialized derivative experts, one of these is the EMEA Commodity Derivatives Sales team, based in Amsterdam. The Commodity derivatives platform is a key growth pillar of FM globally and in EMEA rapidly growing it’s client base.

Your role

With CSG Commodities, you will be fully part of a high performing team. Your primary responsibility will be daily execution of high pace & high frequence commodities transactions with ING’s client base across energy, metals, carbon and precious metals. In addition, where applicable, you will also be supporting your senior team members with pitches and trade ideas, to grow the commodities franchise and to enable the EMEA Sales platform and WB Sector teams with FM commodities related origination & structuring efforts.  

Your key responsibilities

You will be part of the team as a dedicated commodity execution sales professional at the desk:

• Transact daily with clients in Energy, Metals, Precious Metals and Carbon derivatives.
• Day-to-day execution and handling of Client transactions and RfQs
• Run pre-trade PFE and credit charge calculations to transact within Client risk limits.
• Post-trade recap and confirmation processing.
• Ensure data quality and perform trade data analytics to track performs on flow business.

• Masters degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academics
• Proven track record in high pace trade execution in Financial Markets.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a Financial Markets environment, execution experience and/or commodities markets experience is preferred.  
• Empathic team player with excellent communication skills
• Entrepreneurial and commercial drive
• Eager to learn
• Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly.
• Support your Senior team members in delivering on the strategic ambitions of the desk.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, Dutch and/or additional foreign language considered a plus
