- Demonstrates knowledge of age specific nursing theory and practice by following appropriate policies and procedures; and, imparting that knowledge to patients, staff, and students.
- Demonstrates technical competence and accurately administers and documents medications.
- Accurately recognizes life threatening cardiac dysrhythmias and appropriate interventions.
- Applies restraints in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Reports patient care or management problems to Surgery Clinical Supervisor or, when appropriate, to the House Supervisor. When necessary, documents concerns on appropriate notification form.
- Communicates pertinent information regarding patients to Surgery or appropriate care nurse in an organized and timely fashion at shift report or time of transfer.
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduate of BRN approved nursing program. and Acute care RN experience., upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
Preferred
- OPS RN experience.
