REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager
SUPERVISORY WORK: None
WAGE: $11.00 per hour
SUMMARY
Under direction of the Box Office Manager, this position conducts ticket sales at the Box Office window and over the phone using a computerized ticketing system.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides superior customer service.
- Answers patron questions with clear and correct information.
- Conducts ticketing transactions utilizing a computerized ticketing system.
- Handles cash, check and credit card transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Is able to work in a fast-paced environment as business level fluctuates.
- Accurately reconciles cash drawer and completes end-of-day reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or its equivalent is required. Six (6) months cashier and/or customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Have a basic understanding of computers and be willing and able to learn new computer skills.
- Ability to clearly speak and understand English to ensure information is communicated accurately.
- Ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate good judgement.
- Ability to read and write.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of effective customer service practices.
- Must have flexible work schedule that includes working evenings, weekends and holidays.
