The Testing Center Program Specialist conducts the Testing Center’s programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Maintains schedules, eligibility requirements, and registration procedures. The Testing Center Program Specialist does not supervise staff but does supervise assigned student employees.Instructions to Applicants: Please add the following documents to your application in the "Resume Drop Box" section of your application. Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts examinee intake and administers computer-based tests, managing access passwords, printing results, generating testing reports, ensuring student accommodation requests, and troubleshooting technical problems while maintaining test security.
Maintains detailed testing files and oversees the secure storage of all paper-based tests.
Partners with other department staff and faculty to help students navigate their testing requirements and processes. Answers telephone and greet visitors to provide accurate general and test-specific information and assistance.
Serves as a point person for external testing agencies and test vendors to ensure that all testing processes are conducted smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with testing standards and regulations. Implements and manages all fee-based third-party testing.
Ensures information listed on the Testing Center web pages is current and makes changes when appropriate.
Manages computerized testing data by entering placement test scores, correcting errors, and locating student information.
May supervise assigned student employees.
Creates and revises Testing Center forms and literature upon manager approval, including employee training manuals, registration and testing procedures, informational handouts, and the emergency plan.
Manages the operations of the Testing Center in manager’s absence.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of student confidentiality, test security protocols, and testing center policies for both paper-based and computer-based examinations.
Knowledge of student services resources, retention practices, and principles of student support.
Knowledge of office procedures, records management, data collection, and data interpretation methods.
Knowledge of computers, internet-based testing platforms, and job-related software applications, including multiple testing vendor systems.
Skill in decision-making, problem-solving, and exercising sound independent judgment.
Skill in interpersonal relations, customer service, and effective oral and written communication.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
Ability to provide guidance and support to students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Ability to resolve conflicts and address concerns related to test administration, student services, and customer requests.
Ability to research and interpret testing policies and procedures and consistently enforce testing center, vendor, and institutional requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in education or a related field.
One (1) year of experience related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Condition(s) of Employment:
Must be able to be approved as a proctor by Pearson Vue, College Board, Educational Testing Service, Meazure Learning, Metro, and others as required. Failure to obtain or maintain required approval may result in termination of employment.

Physical Demands:
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light objects.
The work is typically performed in an office.
Evening hours may be required.
Schedule Designation
Typically, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. May be required to work after hours and weekends.
This position will be required to work onsite in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
